Simon Kukes

Simon Kukes
CEO

Dr. Kukes is an American citizen. Since April 2013, Dr. Kukes has served as the principal of SK Energy LLC, a consulting company. Dr. Kukes was the CEO at Samara-Nafta, a Russian oil company, partnering with Hess Corporation; a U.S. based international oil company, from January 2005 to April 2013. He was President and Chief Executive of Tyumen Oil Company (TNK) from 1998 until its merger with British Petroleum (BP) in 2003. He then joined Yukos Oil as chairman. He also served as chief executive of Yukos from 2003 until June 2004. In 1999, he was voted one of the Top 10 Central European Executives by the Wall Street Journal Europe and in 2003 he was named by The Financial Times and PricewaterhouseCoopers as one of the 64 most respected business leaders in the world. Dr. Kukes has a primary degree in Chemical Engineering from the Institute for Chemical Technology, Moscow and a PhD in Physical Chemistry from the Academy of Sciences, Moscow and was a Post-Doctoral Fellow of Rice University, Houston, Texas. He is the holder of more than 130 patents and has published more than 60 scientific papers.
Doug Schick

Mr. Schick has over twenty years of experience in the oil and gas industry. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Schick co-founded American Resources, Inc., a Houston, Texas-based privately-held independent oil and gas company and served as Chief Executive Officer (from August 2017 to the present) and as Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Business Development (from August 2013 to August 2017). Prior to starting American Resources, Mr. Schick served as the founder, owner and principal of J. Douglas Enterprises, a Houston, Texas-based E&P M&A, business development and financial consulting firm (from June 2011 to the present), as Vice President of Finance (from January 2011 until its sale in June 2011) for Highland Oil and Gas, a private equity-backed E&P company headquartered in Houston, Texas, as Manager of Planning and then Director of Planning at Houston, Texas-based Mariner Energy, Inc. (from December 2006 until its sale to Apache Corp. in December 2010), and in various roles of increasing responsibility in finance, planning, M&A, treasury and accounting at The Houston Exploration Company, ConocoPhillips and Shell Oil Company (from 1998 to 2006). Mr. Schick holds a BBA in Finance from New Mexico State University and an MBA with a specialization in Finance from Tulane University.
Clark Moore

Mr. Moore previously served as the Corporate Counsel to CAMAC Energy Inc. Prior to joining CAMAC Energy, Mr. Moore was an attorney at the law firms of Venture Law Group and Heller Ehrman LLP, both located in Menlo Park, California, where he practiced general corporate and transactional law. Mr. Moore currently sits on the Board of Directors of Steering Committee of Pathways Hospice Foundation, a San Francisco Bay Area not-for-profit foundation supporting the Sunnyvale, California-based Pathways Home Health, Hospice and Private Duty organization. Mr. Moore graduated from the University of Washington with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History, and earned his Juris Doctor degree with Distinction from Stanford Law School.
Greg Overholtzer

Greg Overholtzer
Chief Financial Officer

Greg Overholtzer has about 30 years of experience in corporate accounting and corporate finance across a variety of industries. Prior to joining Pacific Energy Development, Mr. Overholtzer was the CFO of Omni-ID for three years, a Foster City-based private company that developed and manufactured high technology RFID components. The company had multiple locations in the US, Europe, and China. Prior to that, Mr. Overholtzer was the Corporate Controller of Genitope Corporation in Fremont, California, which was a publicly traded bio-technology company of about 200 employees that developed novel immunotherapies for the treatment of cancer. Prior to these positions, Mr. Overholtzer had about ten years of experience as a Controller or CFO of various small to mid-size manufacturing companies. Mr. Overholtzer has a MBA in Finance from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley and a BA in Zoology from UC Berkeley. Mr. Overholtzer started his career after graduating with his MBA from UC Berkeley in a $5 Billion multi-national company (British Oxygen Corporation) that specialized in the sales of industrial gases as well as medical equipment. At British Oxygen Corporation, Mr. Overholtzer held various corporate finance positions including Divisional VP Finance and Administration.
